Książki & Multimedia > Muzyka

Opis - Here Stefano Molardi adds to his definitive survey of Bach"s complete organ music an extensive assortment of chorale preludes, concertos after other composers and some of the largest works in the great composer"s sizeable organ repertoire. Rather than organising the music by collection, Molardi provides great variety in his recording by juxtaposing the delicacy of works like the Trio in D minor BWV583 with the imposing Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV538 and a selection of chorale preludes from the Orgelbüchlein (small-scale works, many under one minute in duration). The brilliant Piece d"orgue BWV572 and the Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C BWV564 show off Bach"s compositional finesse in the French and Italian styles respectively. The fascinating Canonic Variations BWV769a (recorded here in the Leipzig manuscript version) were written as a kind of "entrance exam" for the highly-regarded Mizler society; Bach proves his ability in a rigorous mathematical structure which remains musically exciting. Molardi plays the Zacharias Hildebrandt organ of the St. Jacobikirche, Sangerhausen, which has a close affinity with Bach?s organ music: the composer was friendly with Hildebrandt, who lived in Leipzig from 1734. The thrilling sound and variety of tonal colour offered by this instrument allows us to hear the music as closely as possible to how Bach himself might have known it. Nazwa - J. S. Opis - The fourth volume in Stefano Molardi"s authoritative collection of J.S. Bach"s organ works, this four-CD release brings together some of the German composer"s most famous music. Chief among these is the Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV565; with its unforgettable opening bars " doubled in the octave " flourished chromaticism, pauses and arpeggios on the diminished seventh, the piece has consistently drawn much critical attention. Some scholars have debated whether it was originally written for the violin, thanks to its astonishing virtuosity and use of parallel thirds and sixths, and others have questioned whether the composition was even penned by Bach himself. Also included on this release are the "Neumeister" chorales; assembled by Johann Gottfried Neumeister in the 18th century, the collection wasn"t actually published until the 1980s, with the result that these little-recorded preludes still have plenty of room for a new interpretation. Most impressive of all is the range of styles Bach covers in his organ works; from the northern toccata style " which the composer began to utilise after a stay in Lübeck " a working of several intricate fugues finished with a toccata-style coda, to the mid-German Sangerhausen style, featuring unusually dissonant harmonisations. Stefano Molardi has chosen the Thielemann organ in Gräfenhain, Thuringia, especially for this release; dating from the 1720s and therefore from the time of the composer himself, its captures the spirit of the great composer"s age, lending a certain authenticity to the performances and allowing for a vast range of styles both grand and intimate. This 4th and last instalment of Bach"s Complete Organ Works by Stefano Molardi contains some of the most famous organ works by the master: the iconic Toccata & Fugue in D minor BWV 565, the complete Neumeister Chorales, and suitably finishing with one of the most shattering and original organ works ever written: the monumental Passacaglia in C minor BWV 582. The performances by Italian master organist Stefano Molardi have gained great international acclaim, most recently highly praised in BBC 3 CD Review. Playing on historical organs from the time of Bach (here on a magnificent 1720 Thielemann organ in Gräfenhain, Germany) he combines his scholarly historical knowledge with his deep understanding of the underlying human emotions of these eternal masterpieces. The booklet contains excellent liner notes, as well as the full specifications of the organ used. August Gottfried Ritter (1811-1885) is no household name, but to organists he one of the most significant figures in the history of their instrument; while his three-volume method of playing Kunst des Orgelspiels becoming a source of reference in Germany and elsewhere, his Geschichte des Orgelspiels compendium established his renown through bringing to light composers from the Renaissance and the Baroque periods, some of whom had already been forgotten by the time it was published in 1884. Today he is regarded as the founder of the modern German organ school.Placing a selection of rare works alongside his more famous organ music, this collection forms a unique tribute to the German composer?s genius. The four Organ Sonatas are first to be presented, pieces which are all cyclical in nature, with Op.23 forming his largest composition for organ, a work of vast proportions that was dedicated to Liszt and which includes Ritter?s debut use of organ toccata form. The second theme of Op.11 recalls the Adagio from the Toccata BWV564, a possible tribute to Bach whose music Ritter studied from an early age, and this baroque influence is expanded on in the second disc, in which the Toccata in D minor?s use of the stylus phantasticus, the Fugue in C minor?s treatment of J.S. Bach?s Fugue BWV546 and the Fugue in B ?after Handel? are just a few examples of the predilection for all things past that penetrated the Romantic period. The Sandri organ of the Santuario Maria Ausiliatrice in Aprica, Italy, was the instrument of choice for this recording, played with poise and authority by the Italian organist Massimo Gabba, a specialist of the Romantic repertoire. Having recorded several CDs for leading labels such as Tactus, Elegia and Brilliant Classics, Gabba?s performances have been widely acclaimed in the Italian and international press (Diapason, Organ Yearbook, Ars Organi etc.). He is currently Professor of Organ and Composition at the ?G. Tartini? Conservatory in Trieste.Other information:- Recorded September 2013, for the first time on CD: the complete organ works by Ritter!- August Gottfried Ritter lived from 1811-1885, a near contemporary of Liszt (1811-1886), and that is not the only connection: Ritter was one of the most significant organ composers of 19-th century Germany, and like Liszt in his organ works, was inspired by the great contrapuntists Bach and Handel. Some of his works are of substantial proportions, written in a 19-th century pendant of the ?Stylus Phantasticus?, full of imagination and theatrical musical gestures.- Organist Massimo Gabba chose for this recording the magnificent Sandri instrument of the Santuaria Maria Ausiliatrice in Aprica, Italy.- Gabba earlier recorded a superb ?Romantic Handel Transcriptions? for Brilliant Classics (BC 94709), and is considered one of Italy?s leading organists.- The booklet contains full specifications of the organ, liner notes and artist biography.

Mendelssohn-Bartholdy: Complete Organ Music Brilliant Classics

Mendelssohn?s passion for the organ was due in part to his Lutheran upbringing, but he also owes much to his famous predecessor, J.S. Bach, whose influence is especially felt in the Ostinato in C minor. While he only composed sporadically for the organ between 1823 and 1831, Mendelssohn reached new heights of awareness in his composition in the 1830s. A visit to England in 1832 saw him commissioned to write some organ music for publisher Vincent Novello, and in his lifetime he would be much admired by (and admire in turn) several leading English organists, including Thomas Attwood, to whom he dedicated the Three Preludes and Fugues Op.37 in 1837, which can be found on discs 1 and 2. The end of disc 2, and the entirety of disc 3, is devoted to his last and most significant works for the organ, the Six Sonatas Op.65, which were commissioned by English publishers Coventry & Hollier in 1844.This release is the first complete recording of Mendelssohn?s organ music by an Italian organist, adapting this iconic composer?s work to modern Italian instruments and thus presenting it from a slightly different perspective. Giulio Piovani first studied the organ under Giuseppe Gai at the ?A. Vivaldi? Conservatory of Alessandria. He then went on to specialise at the ?F. Ghedini? Conservatory of Cuneo, and has since worked with the Academia di Musica Sacra di S. Rocco di Alessandria and the Diocese of Vigevano. He is currently organist of the Waldesian Temple of Milan, since 2011.Other information- Recorded in 2013 in Italy.- This 3CD set contains the complete music written for organ by Felix Mendelssohn.- Mendelssohn was a great admirer of Johann Sebastian Bach (it was he who revived the Matthäus Passion and performed it for the first time since the master?s death in 1750), therefore it is no wonder that he (a Lutheran) wrote a substantial body for the instrument.- The first two CD?s contain contrapuntal works, Preludes and Fugues in quasi Bach style (of amazing skill and emotional content!), whereas the 3rd CD is devoted to the 6 Grand Sonatas for the organ, a dazzling display of the instrument?s possibilities and his own creative powers, he really put his soul into these 6 masterworks!- Played by the young Italian virtuoso Giulio Piovani, on superb contemporary Italian instruments.- A valuable addition to the growing Brilliant Classics discography of organ recordings, of excellent quality and interest!- Booklet contains notes on the music, an artist biography and organ specifications.

J.S. Bach: Complete Harpsichord Concertos Brilliant Classics

Nagrania muzyczneMuzyka poważna

In 1717 Johann Sebastian Bach entered the service of the Prince of Anhalt-Cöthen. It was an appointment that was to prove highly fruitful, as, free from ecclesiastical duties and with an instrumental ensemble of about 17 players to hand; Bach took the opportunity to expand his instrumental output -- writing, among others, a collection of violin concertos. Also dating from this period are the Harpsichord Concertos, products of the composer's association with the Telemann Musical Society. Indeed, just as Handel is credited with the birth of the organ concerto, the harpsichord concerto owes its origins to J.S. Bach -- whose weekly appearances at the Society were an ideal forum in which to transcribe extant concerto movements for solo and multiple harpsichords. From the sunny disposition of BWV1053 to the dramatic interplay between solo parts in BWV1062, Bach effectively cultivated a new, heightened form of expression in all these works -- the majority of which are probably transcriptions of earlier (including lost) violin concertos by himself and others.Dedicated to the composer's complete works in the medium, this release celebrates the birth of one of the most important genres in music history. Christine Schornsheim, Pieter-Jan Belder and their harpsichord colleagues provide commanding readings, and are deftly supported by the Neues Bachisches Collegium Musicum and Musica Amphion; spanning 3 CDs and over three hours of performances, this recording represents compulsive listening for the harpsichord connoisseur and Baroque enthusiast alike.Other information:- Recordings made 1990 (CD1) & 1992 (CD2), Paul-Gerhardt-Kirche, Leipzig; May & June 2006, Schiedam/Leiden (CD3).- This release contains the solo concertos and the concertos for 2, 3 and 4 harpsichords.- Booklet notes included

Organ Music Brilliant Classics

Nagrania muzyczneMuzyka poważna

Stefano Molardi?s recorded integrale of Bach?s organ music on Brilliant Classics won golden opinions from the specialist pres. As in the four volumes of that cycle, Molardi has taken care to choose instruments to match repertoire, playing two magnificent instruments by Gottfried Silbermann (Bach?s favoured organ-builder) to record the complete organ music ? the first such album to do so ? by Johann Kuhnau.Kuhnau thrived as a church musician in Germany a generation or so before J.S. Bach. He was appointed cantor of the Thomaskirche in 1701, on the death of Johann Schelle, the previous incumbent. When Kuhnau died in 1722, it was J.S. Bach who took over his position after a protracted selection process. Kuhnau played a pivotal role in the evolution of music in central Germany. This was partly due to the beauty and refinement of his melodies, the neatness of his harmony, his skilful use of dissonance and the Corelli-like elegance of his compositions. However the lasting quality of Kuhnau?s music also derives from his ability to infuse his music with the fruits of his considerable learning in theology and rhetoric. This is particularly evident in the Sonate Bibliche, which narrate scenes from the Old Testament - David slaying Goliath and Gideon's victory evidently lend themselves to dramatic presentation, but there are more potentially intricate and abstract stories too: Jacob and Esau, Hezekiah's prayer among them. Published in 1700, the Sonate Bibliche were the culmination of Kuhnau?s output as a composer, achieving considerable commercial success, and they deserve a wider public now. Then there are seven sonatas of more conventional dimensions and character. These were published separately from the Sonata in B flat, a work of considerably greater scope and invention. As Kuhnau himself noted on the manuscript, this is perhaps the first time that the genre description was applied to a solo keyboard work. Finally, there are the preludes and fugues in Kuhnau?s two volumes (1689 and 1692) of Neuer Clavier Übung, which at points throw light on Bach?s own appropriation of the genre. This 3CD set presents the first complete recording of the organ works by Kuhnau! Johann Kuhnau (1660-1722) held several important posts in Germany, before settling in Leipzig, where he was for many years Cantor of the Thomaskirche, till his death in 1722, when Bach (a personal friend of his) took over.Kuhnau?s music is highly innovative: refined and beautiful melodies, skilful use of dissonances and a Corelli-like elegance. He introduced Monteverdi?s ?affetti? in his organ works, creating the first instrumental ?programme music?. His ?Biblical Sonatas? are based on Old Testament scenes, depicted in expressive and telling phrases and instrumental effects.Stefano Molardi is one of the foremost Italian organists, specialised in Baroque music. His many recordings (among which a highly praised complete Bach cycle on Brilliant Classics) have won great acclaim in the international press.Played on a magnificent historic 1714 Silbermann Organ of the Freiberg Dom, the complete specifications of which are included in the extensive booklet.

Opis - Pierwsze na świecie świadectwo ofiary zbrodni honorowej. Miała siedemnaście lat i zakochała się: zhańbiła rodzinę. Więc rodzina wydała na nią wyrok śmierci... Pokochała go pierwszą miłością. Myślała, że się z nią ożeni. Ale ukochany zniknął, a ona odkryła, że jest w ciąży. A w jej świecie to najcięższa zbrodnia... Wyrok wydaje jej ojciec. Szwagier dokonuje egzekucji. Oblewa Souad benzyną i podpala...
