This research first examines the current condition §of the building drainage system design in Taiwan, §including an investigation 51 apartment buildings. §The second part is to experiment on the air pressure §in the vertical stack drainage system . An §experimental device that simulates a medium-height §apartment was set up to provide empirical parameters §and model verification at NTUST. A considerable §progress has been made in predicting the air §pressure distribution within vertical drainage §stacks.§The third part focuses on a 2-pipe vertical drainage §stack for conducting the empirical parameter and §evaluation method of air pressure of building §drainage systems. Next, the air pressure prediction §in 2-pipe vertical drainage stacks from the §predicted results of a single drainage stack has §been illustrated.§The study also conducts the comparison between the §measured data and calculated values. It reveals that §these prediction and evaluation methods can §reproduce the mean air pressure distribution value §in a vertical drainage stack. §Meanwhile, the prediction method of air pressure in §the 2-pipe stack drainage system has been §successfully established in the study.

The results of an extensive structured questionnaire survey based on the Toyota Way-styled attributes identified were developed, and data collected from building professionals working in construction firms is presented. The quantitative data presented in the book explains the status quo of the Toyota Way-styled practices implemented in the construction industry, as well as the extent to which these attributes were perceived for lean construction management. Forecasting from multi-equation models has very rarely been the focus in econometric literature. In response, this book presents a range of methodologies to approach this complex field and offers readers essential information on forecasting from multi-equation econometric micromodels.In the twentieth century, significant interest in econometric macromodels emerged. These multi-equation models are mostly systems of interdependent equations, most often used to describe the national economies of various countries. The book analyzes econometric forecasting procedures and illustrates them with empirical examples that are based on real economic (mostly business-derived) data. The procedure of forecast building from systems of interdependent equations is presented for two categories of econometric models: models with a feedback effect and models with closed-loop links between interdependent variables. The forecasts obtained via this technique are compared with the results derived from reduced-form equations of the respective econometric model. The author also generalizes the rules of the reduced-recursive (helical, iterative) procedure application, against the backdrop of the proposed method of forecast building from reduced-form equations of systems of interdependent equations. Given its scope, the book will appeal not only to PhD students and researchers, but also undergraduate students and academics in general.

This thesis presents a method that aims at achieving generic behavioural descriptions for use in Virtual Reality (VR) that can also be reused to form dynamic use cases of a product in different VR-systems. The focus lies on reducing the overall preparation effort of VR-models and on achieving high reusability of already created models.The core components of the thesis consist of the use of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to develop generic behavioural model descriptions, their use in building different use cases of a product in one VR-system and their reuse in different VR-systems as well. The Systems Modeling Language (SysML) is used to describe the behavioural models, the modelling process is described systematically and is also summarised in the form of general-purpose guidelines for later use. Furthermore, a dedicated physics engine is integrated with these descriptions.Two VR prototypes are developed to demonstrate the effectivity and use of the presented method. Finally, one of the prototypes is put to empirical evaluation performed with the help of experts from academia as well as industry.

The phenomenal self, however, is not a thing but an ongoing process; it is the content of a "transparent self-model." In Being No One, Metzinger, a German philosopher, draws strongly on neuroscientific research to present a representationalist and functional analysis of what a consciously experienced first-person perspective actually is.
