Każdy z nas w pełni się zaangażował i dał z siebie wszystko` – opowiada gitarzysta Josh Rand. Zaś pomysłodawca, Corey Taylor, mówi w ten sposób: `Jeżeli nigdy nie ryzykujesz, nigdy niczego nie zyskasz. W muzyce jest jeszcze wiele form, z którymi do tej pory nie miałem do czynienia. Pierwsza część `House Of Gold &, Bones` zebrała doskonałe recenzje. Otrzymała maksymalne oceny w serwisach Artistdirect i Big Cheese oraz niewiele niższe od Allmusic, Rock Sound, czy prestiżowego Kerranga!. Druga odsłona opowieści zapowiada się niezwykle ciekawie. Oddajmy głos Coreyowi: `Druga część jest znacznie mroczniejsza. Poza tym, to zupełnie inna płyta. Pod wieloma względami przypomina soundtrack do filmu`. Krążek promować będzie nagranie `Do Me A Favor` (premiera 12 lutego 2013). Do piosenki powstanie wideoklip, który wyreżyseruje Phil Mucci. Stone Sour wybrali na współpracownika przy obu częściach `House Of Gold &, Bones` producenta Davida Bottrilla, który wcześniej nagrywał z Tool, Muse, Silverchair czy Staind. Prace odbyły się w Sound Farm Studio nieopodal Des Moines w stanie Iowa. Corey i Jim Root zabrali się za pisanie piosenek krótko po tym, jak skończyli trasę koncertową ze Slipknot. Za przygotowanie historii odpowiedzialny był Taylor, który w międzyczasie odnotował spory sukces na polu literackim książką `Seven Deadly Sins`. Z pomocą Davida Bottrilla prace zakończyły się w ciągu trzech miesięcy. Muzycy Stone Sour nie mogą się nachwalić producenta. `W świecie ProToolsów wszystko może brzmieć doskonale. Nie chcieliśmy czegoś takiego. Zależało nam, aby mieć naturalne, żywe brzmienie, jak z koncertów. David dał je nam. Nie wyobrażam sobie innego producenta, który zdołałby to zrobić tak dobrze, w tak krótkim czasie` – mówi Josh. `David był idealny do tego projektu` – dodaje Corey. `Wiedziałem, że pomoże nam wszystko odpowiednio dopasować i wyciągnąć esencję z piosenek oraz że zmusi nas do dania z siebie maksimum, pójścia dalej niż dotychczas. To również szczególne wideoklipy, mnóstwo działań w sieci (strona internetowa poświęcona płycie, pełna niespodzianek dla fanów), specjalne opakowanie, wyjątkowe pod względem klimatu koncerty, jak również komiks, w którym zostanie rozwinięta historia bohatera. Bohatera, w którym Corey zawarł podobno niemało ze swoich życiowych doświadczeń.
