Multi -criteria decision making problems in fuzzy environment has received wide attention from researches in view of its practical application to real life situations. Based on the type of data used to express the different alternatives, different approaches/methodologies are employed to tackle the fuzzy MCDM problems. The mostly used tools to deal with such problems are aggregation operators and score functions. In this monograph we elaborate the use of score functions in solving fuzzy MCDM problems, introduce a new weighted geometric aggregation operator, discuss the drawbacks and short comings of the existing score functions and emphasize the need for new score functions to overcome the existing deficiencies. Some new score functions based on a new type of fuzzy set are defined and some theoretical properties of these functions are established. These score functions are used in solving the most general fuzzy MCDM problems with the help of new methodology. A comparative analysis is also carried out to establish the supremacy and efficient working of the new methods and the new score functions.

Narrative water quality criteria are an integral component of States' water quality standards but they pose special problems when incorporated into the TMDL process. The TMDL process is typically a quantitative activity, defining numeric allowable loads necessary to meet a numeric water quality objective. Narrative criteria confound development of quantitative TMDLs, due to the absence of these numeric criteria. The objective of this research was to improve the methods for addressing narrative water quality criteria in the TMDL process. The problems associated with narrative criteria in the TMDL process are known in general terms but, prior to this research, there has not been a thorough review of the use of narrative criteria in TMDLs nor broad guidance on how to address narrative criteria in the TMDL process. The approach taken for this research was to define the range of problems associated with all types of narrative criteria by means of a comprehensive review of 120 narrative TMDLs, and provide guiding principles to help address these problems. Adherence to these guiding principles is expected to significantly improve the evaluation of water bodies for impairment of a designated use based on non-attainment of narrative water quality criteria, resulting in more accurate 303(d) lists with a greater focus on those water bodies truly impaired. Also, adherence to these guiding principles will contribute to improvements in the TMDL development process, resulting in a greater degree of success in attaining designated uses when a TMDL is implemented . Despite the "clinician" designation, the SCID-5-CV can be used in research settings as long as the disorders of particular interest to the researcher are among those included in the SCID-5-CV. Screening questions are provided for those diagnoses that are included in their entirety in SCID-5-RV but have been left out of the SCID-5-CV. A unique and valuable tool, the SCID-5 is used to assess and record DSM-5 diagnostic decisions. Software Architecture Comparison Analysis Methods provide organizations with a rationale for an architecture selection process by comparing the fitness of software architecture candidates for required systems. With the lack of data about software architecture, developing comparison methods based on a black box approach is considered very helpful, and architectures can be compared based on a set of criteria derived from the business goals of an organization. A popular method in this context is the Software Architecture Comparison Analysis Method (SACAM) developed by (SEI). This book presents a proposed adaptation of SACAM to be applied in the context of critical socio-technical systems where issues of architecture evolution and maintenance are considered important factors in selecting a strategy to software modernization. The proposed method is called software Architecture Comparison Analysis Method for Critical Systems (SACAM-CS). SACAM-CS is an architecture selection method based on multi-criteria decision analysis. SDF has been used to reduce the incidence and progression of caries in primary dentition and the results have been well documented.The low cost of SDF and its simplicity in application suggest that SDF is an appropriate therapeutic agent for use in community dental health projects. The mediastinum is a hollow space within the thoracic cavity that may give rise to a wide spectrum of tumoral conditions from the benign to the intermediate to the highly malignant neoplasms. In addition, other inflammatory and infectious conditions may also arise in this space, which renders the practice of mediastinal pathology, almost a general surgical pathology practice. However, there are numerous mediastinal conditions that are important not only for diagnosis but also for treatment and clinical outcome. Due to the unusual location and because of the complexity of the tumors occurring in the mediastinum, there are only a few experts in this particular anatomic area. In fact, there are no more than 3-4 individuals worldwide with enough experience to properly diagnose, classify, and make treatment suggestions when these tumors arise in the mediastinum. More recent developments in tumor diagnosis and classification have created a vacuum in the general pathologist who often is confronted with this pathology and becomes uneasy about the specifics. For instance, recent developments in tumor pathology have led to the classification and staging of mediastinal tumors in more innovative ways that are in need of proper highlighting. Needless to say, even though there are a few publications on mediastinal pathology, the books are either obsolete or incomplete, in addition of providing superficial knowledge. Unfortunately and with all due respect to the authors of those publications, neither of those books is written by experts in the area. Rather the books were written out of the lack of information in mediastinal pathology. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) publication, which is truly more on lung and pleural neoplasms, has inserted in its contents a portion of mediastinal tumors, such portion not only is superficial and incomplete but also at least highly controversial if not flat out incorrect. . This text's goal is to present comprehensive and up to date information of the diverse pathology that can be encountered in the mediastinal compartment. The book will be divided in 11 different chapters based on the lineage of the diverse tumors that occur in the mediastinum, i.e. epithelial, neuroendocrine, lymphoid, etc (see table of contents). In addition, two separate chapters will be included -one on the radiological aspects and the others on the surgical approach to the different mediastinal tumors., bringing a total of 13 chapters. In the pathology section, the book will include current staging and classification systems of the different tumors. In addition, it will address the most current criteria for diagnosis and the differential diagnosis. Although the emphasis of the book is on diagnostic surgical pathology, every chapter will include the use of immunohistochemical techniques, electron microscopy, and molecular biology when necessary. The book will be extensively illustrated so that the reader will benefit of the different histomorphology of mediastinal tumors. Because of the nature of this specific anatomic area and the need to develop a standard text, Mediastinal Pathology should be of high interest to general surgical pathologists, thoracic pathologists in particular as well as thoracic surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists. Needless to say, this book will be of interest to pathology residents and fellows as well as to those seeking more in depth knowledge of thoracic - mediastinal pathology.
