To remedy this, Quinton and Skolimowski have translated an introduction to philosophy written by Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz, probably the outstanding representative of the generation. Problems and Theories of Philosophy surveys concisely and, so far as possible, systematically the main problems in epistemology and metaphysics and the most historically important of the solutions proposed to them. The book still reads freshly and displays many of the characteristic intellectual virtues of Polish philosophy: clarity and straightforwardness of presentation combined with a bracing rigour and precision. It is in no sense parochial to its Polish origins and can stand beside the classic English introductions to the subject as stimulating and lucid analysis of perennial philosophical problems and strategies.

Słownik jest pierwszym tego typu opracowaniem porównawczym leksyki języka polskiego i duńskiego. Opiera się na badaniach nad frekwencją polskich wyrazów, zawartych w Słowniku minimum języka polskiego autorstwa Z. Kurzowej, H. Zgółkowej (Poznań 1992). Lista stanowiąca podstawę słownika zawiera ponad 1500 haseł polskich, są to wyrazy najczęściej używane, niezbędne. Słownik zawiera około 700 rzeczowników, około 300 czasowników, około 200 przymiotników, 50 zaimków, 30 przyimków i 40 spójników. Liczebniki stanowią osobną listę, na której użytkownik znajdzie w kolejności liczebniki główne i porządkowe. W poszczególnych hasłach znajdzie czytelnik kilka rodzajów informacji gramatycznych i znaczeniowych. A short Polish-Danish dictionary. With a Danish-Polish index This is the first Polish-Danish dictionary which compares Polish and Danish lexis. It is based on frequency studies of Polish words contained in Słownik minimum języka polskiego [A short dictionary of Polish] by Z. Kurzowa and Halina Zgolka (Poznań 1992). An advantage of this dictionary is the rich variety of phraseological units both of Polish entries and their Danish equivalents. In the dictionary are also given words that are semantically most approximate and which at the same time constitute specific semantic fields. Polish entries do not contain analytical explanations of meanings, but a word or words from Danish have been appended to them, which have the same meaning, but constitute classes of semantic variants as compared to Polish. As a writer and prophet Dostoevsky was no academic theologian, yet his writings are deeply theological: his life, beliefs, even his epilepsy, all had a role in generating his theology and eschatology. Dostoevsky's novels are riven with paradoxes, are deeply dialectical, and represent a criticism of religion, offered in the service of the gospel.
